Building Pad Construction and Site Preparation

At Grizzly Earthworks, our building pads are not built with a one-size-fits-all approach. Northern Wisconsin ground behaves differently, and we build accordingly. In the Northwoods, soft soils, clay layers, sand pockets, high water tables, and aggressive freeze-thaw cycles can quickly compromise a pad that isn’t properly designed. That’s why we evaluate soil type, drainage patterns, frost depth, slope, and structure load before construction begins.
